Features
The MTY series is a CNC turning and milling machine designed for high-volume processing, emphasizing not only rapid production but also the mastery of minimal tolerances. Its modular design allows for five different configurations, enabling users to choose the most suitable model based on their specific needs.
• With a three-channel design and an additional X3 axis, users can significantly save processing time and reduce costs. The machine can simultaneously process up to three tools, akin to using three tool turrets.
• The tailstock can be installed on the sub-spindle, allowing users to process long workpieces.
• Dual Y-axes enable users to rapidly mill workpieces, reducing processing time by over 50%. The boxway design ensures the capability to process hard materials.
Turret
This machine is equipped with two BMT55 16-stations power turrets, allowing users to load up to 64 tools simultaneously. With a power rating of 3.7/5.5KW,17.7/23.6nm,and a spindle speed of 6000RPM, the machine maximizes milling efficiency, significantly reducing processing time.
Spindle
• Extremely rigid main and sub-spindles with purpose built roller bearings on the front and rear to concentrate power directly to the cutting surface and resist axial and radial forces.
• Higher speeds and heavy-cuts are possible with this bearing arrangement.
• Simultaneous independent machining of the workpiece and C-axis with resolution of 0.001 degrees allows for complex contouring of parts.
Tooling
Simultaneous Machining with 3 Tools in Superimposition.
The MTY features dual turrets, yet the CNC system is equipped with three programming channels, allowing the execution of three programs concurrently, each with its individual offsets. The sub-spindle (X3 and Z3 axes) can operate within the third channel of the CNC, engaging in a compound manner with both the upper and lower turrets. In practical terms, this facilitates superimposed machining with three tools concurrently, with each tool strategically positioned in both the upper and lower turrets.
Tail Stock Simultaneous Operation with Tailstock and Sub-Spindle
This turning centre offers the option of adding a tailstock attached to the sub-spindle headstock. This configuration allows machining between the main spindle and tailstock while normal machining continues in the sub-spindle, as illustrated in the photograph.
