In southern Michigan is Sterling State Park -- the only Michigan State Park on Lake Erie. At Sterling you will experience a very different ecosystem that encompasses marshes and lagoons. Nearby, the River Raisin National Battlefield offers a glimpse of a historic battle from the War of 1812, and it's an easy bike ride from the park.
