Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition - Juri's Story

So yeah, I really like Juri, and while traditionally I'd start with the poster boy Ryu, we're starting with Juri Han instead!

Introduced in Street Fighter IV's Arcade Edition update, Juri was a bunch of firsts for Capcom. First Korean character ever, first female villain in Street Fighter and first user of Taekwando. Juri is ALL about kicks, to the point that her Hard Punch is actually a kick!

In this game she got quite the overhaul that most aren't happy with I guess. What mostly draws ire is her new special move, Fuharenkyaku. Performing the move "stores" a usage of the ACTUAL special move, which changes depending on if you hit light, medium or heavy kick. So in-order, they're a projectile, a lunging kick, and a flurry of kicks. So you're basically doing the input twice to even get a real attack out of it.

Her V-Skill in this game is a dash that will cross up an opponent with a kick if it connects, while her V-Trigger I removes that storage mechanic. I'm not really sure what her V-Trigger II does...like, it looks like she has a vortex effect on some moves? Don't come to me for answers!

So Juri's "story" here...isn't much of one, honestly. None of these are. The "story" mode for each character is actually leading up to the cinematic story mode, A Shadow Falls, so this is all prequel stuff. Juri's a wild card in the grand scheme of things, though she hates Bison so she's ostensibly "good" for now.

For those wondering, she kinda just....shows up, helps out Cammy and then leaves again. Since she was a DLC character and not part of the base game, she doesn't really get a lot of screen time in the story mode.
