Fiori and I spent two days in Krujë, Albania! Krujë is well-known for being the birthplace of Skanderbeg, as well as the city where he led numerous rebellions against the Ottoman Empire.
We first visited the Old Bazaar (Pazari i Vjetër), where we met Vjollca - one of many local artisans in the area. She was very kind to tell us a bit about herself and her work. Afterwards, we explored Krujë Castle, which was the center of Skanderbeg's rebellion. The next day, we stopped in the Skanderbeg National Museum before driving 20 minutes to Sari Salltik.
Krujë, Albania is a city filled with rich history! Also, Old Bazaar is a great place to shop for souvenirs, handicrafts, and art from the many talented Albanian artisans.
