Описание: Dal Bhat दालभात is said to be the national traditional dish of Nepal with lentils, rice. Dal Bhat means lentil and rice - so its easy for travelers to get confused- but in Nepal, it also means the entire dish or plate with at least four to seven other dishes!

I’m in Dhulikhel at staying at Gaia Holiday Home where I’m meeting with chef Asok, who takes me inside a hotel Nepali kitchen to learn how to make Dal Bhat.

I did the Balthali- Namobuddha-Dhulikhel trek with Wanderlust Himalaya Adventures. It’s one of the best hikes near Kathmandu and it was such an awesome trekking day in Nepal. It is a popular two day trek around Kathmandu Valley. Our start is located 2 hours east of downtown Kathmandu. Our first day's goal ends in Dhulikhel.
