In tonight's edition: regional troops gather at the Gambian border amid the ongoing political standoff, at least 60 people are killed in an attack on a military barracks in Gao; and the death toll rises to 70 in Nigeria, where the army mistakenly bombed a refugee camp.
Regional forces assemble on the Senegalese border with Gambia as the last few hours of President Yayah Jammeh's mandate run out. Military intervention could start at midnight if he doesn’t leave office before his successor’s inauguration.
