How to prep engraved wood panels (clean, seal front/back, and paint)
My Everyday Art palette (and how to swap colors if you’re using what you already own)
Mixing an easy neutral gray background (burnt sienna + phthalo blue) and blending it softly
Why I do multiple background layers (so wood grain doesn’t show through as acrylic dries)
Mixing greens for tulip leaves (light/mid/dark) and getting that “streaky” tulip leaf texture
How to control paint on small pieces (brush loading + not overloading your filbert)
Adding the soft green haze at the base of the tulips
