The theme of the webinar was “BRO: An Instrument of Nation Building and Military Diplomacy.” The keynote speaker was Lt Gen Rajeev Chaudhry, VSM (retd.), former Director General of Border Roads Organisation (BRO).

During the webinar, Lt Gen Chaudhry discussed BRO’s significant contributions to building strategic infrastructure across India, particularly along the China border, and enhancing India’s military diplomacy through infrastructure development in friendly neighboring countries. He shared valuable insights into BRO’s achievements, such as constructing the world’s highest motorable road, introducing advanced technologies for infrastructure, and overcoming various challenges in creating robust road networks in harsh terrains.

Pradeep Gupta, Founder of SAPI, initiated the session with an overview of the think tank’s objectives and introduced the esteemed panel of speakers, including prominent veterans and defense experts who have supported SAPI’s mission over the years. The webinar also featured a Q&A session that provided in-depth discussions on BRO’s strategic role in military and national development.
