Northeast Indiana, Northwest Ohio Trains - March/April 2001

Описание: This starts out in Lima where I caught the Ringling Bros. Circus train and some other interesting things on a blustery day. The wind was gusting above 30 mph. NS 218 was a punctual hot trailer train that I tried to catch when possible. It ran on the New Castle District for a few years until the Peavine route was closed. It ran from Chicago to Greensboro. You could usually count on seeing a Lance Snacks trailer somewhere on it, as well as Schneider, KBS, UPS, and other trailers. Huntington was a favorite spot for me during this time so there is a lot of it here featuring RoadRailers, intermodals, and hot auto parts traffic. There is some scanner audio.

Indiana Locations: Fort Wayne, Huntington, Monroeville, New Haven, Ossian, and South Whitley
Ohio Locations: Cairo and Lima

I filmed this footage with a Panasonic PV-L452 VHS-C Palmcorder and used a tripod most of the time. All footage is my own. I use Shotcut for video editing. My footage notes are below. Thanks for watching!

07:18 O’Conner Ave. - CSX Q375 south (CSX 7745, GCFX 3077, KCS 735, CSX 8058, NERR 719A), this crossing is closed today. The F7A is former BLE 719A and here it’s headed to Tennessee. Today this unit is painted in L&N colors and pulls excursions for the Tennessee Central in Nashville as TCRX 819
