NOLA Underground Music Documentary (Down, Crowbar, Acid Bath, Soilent Green) [1995]

Описание: This is a video from 1995 that documents underground music in New Orleans. There is also a segment on the House of Shock haunted house, of which I was a part during its infancy in Jay Gracianette's backyard. It was run by Phil Anselmo & Ross Karpelman. My death-metal band Apostasy had broken up by the time this documentary was made, so we're not in it, but you will see a few of my friends' bands: Soilent Green, Down, Crowbar, etc. A lot of the live footage seen here was filmed at Zeppelin's, which was a venue owned by a pair of brothers who became good friends of mine over the years: Joey (R.I.P.) & Guy LaRocca . I saw tons of great bands there: Mercyful Fate, Immolation, Anal Cunt, At the Gates, Grief, & Pungent Stench, to name but a few. Hope you all enjoy..!

Oh, and...I am in a book! TAPE DEALER - "1984-1994: A Decade of Demos, Tape Trading and Fanzines". I was interviewed at some length by Dima Andreyuk of Tough Riffs Magazine, regarding my time as the rhythm guitarist for the New Orleans death metal band APOSTASY in the early-mid '90s. APOSTASY has a two-page spread in the book. I talk about the recording of our 'Unholy Conversion' demo, what gigs were like in New Orleans in the good old days, the underground tape-trading network, & more. Also included in this 336-page tome are interviews w/ members of Possessed, Morbid Angel, Death, Sodom, Mayhem, Suffocation, & dozens of other Godfathers of this genre. Cover art by Mark Riddick. Hardcovers & softcovers were available through the book's publisher (Seven Metal Inches Records) as well as Nuclear Blast Records, Hell's Headbangers, Darkness Shall Rise Productions, etc., but they've sold out. Periodically check eBay (I've seen copies there before) & similar sites to acquire one.
