The Basics:
As my Land Cruiser aged, the components get old and fail.
The Problem:
The Land Cruiser EFI fuse was only 20amps from the factory. The draw from the Electronic Fuel Injection was almost that. As the vehicle ages, the wires get old and resistence increases causing more heat, hence melting the fuse or burning it out completely. I believe the 2003+ Land cruisers had a 25amp fuse instead of the 20amp.
Affected:
1998-2007 Toyota Land Cruisers and Lexus LX470
Solution:
Replace fuse.
