Welcome to another Star Wars Vintage Collection figure review. This time we have Doctor Aphra from wave 3.
I have been eagerly awaiting this figure as I have the SDCC 3 pack but wanted to keep it in its lovely packaging. This Doctor Aphra is a straight repack but this time sits on her own gorgeous card back.
Doctor Aphra was created as part of a fan vote that Hasbro hosted. I am pretty sure it is the first time we have ever had a figure made who was based on a character from a Star Wars comic series. I am glad though as she is a great character and a very nice looking action figure.
Doctor Aphra first appeared in the Darth Vader comic book series. So well received was the character that she got her own mini series titled 'Doctor Aphra'.
Along with her two assassin droids, BT-1 and Triple Zero she was hired by Darth Vader for various missions. She is described as an Archaeologist and has a touch of Indiana Jones about her. I wont spoil what happens but I recommend anyone to read the comics as they are truly awesome.
