Westwood Robotics is proud to announce a major update: THEMIS Gen2.5, the world’s first commercial full-size humanoid robot capable of manipulation on the move!
🚀 Powered by AOS:
With this release, we’re officially rolling out AOS (AI-Augmented Humanoid OS), built around three core modules:
Whole-Body Loco-Manipulation Controller with sensor-fusion-based state estimation for accurate, stable motion control;
Navigation Module with multi-layer mapping, semantic understanding, and path planning;
Interaction Module, powered by OC-VAM (Object-Centric Vision-Action Model) for compute-efficient task planning.
🦾 Hardware Upgrades:
THEMIS has also been tremendously improved in hardware:
Redesigned structure for 40% greater impact resistance
Upgraded arms to 7-DoF, with over 5 kg peak payload per arm
New Mountain BEAR actuators in the hip joints, delivering over 120% torque capacity and ~80% less heat generation
