Something new for a well trodden tale. I have found this incredible story whilst digging around my local archives.
In the midst of his oppressive slaughter and destruction of Northumbria, William hears of slain knights who had crossed paths with a monster in the Church of St John, Beverley.....or so the scared survivors say. This is the tale of how one place gained a reprieve from the massacre that was the harrying of the north.
