CherishTalks #22: Good practice Mallorca - GÀLIBS Project

Описание: Mr Bernat Oliver is a historian and member of the Maritime Heritage team at the “Sustainability and Environment Department of Consell de Mallorca”. In this video, he introduces the GÀLIBS project. It is a research project to compile and digitize traditional wooden boats templates designed by current and ancient Mallorcan shipbuilders.
Mr Oliver explains why and how the project contributes to the preservation of the traditional shipbuilders' know-how and the floating maritime heritage of the island of Mallorca (Spain).
GÀLIBS project is considered a good practice by the CHERISH project and Interreg Europe community as a successful initiative from a local public authority to safeguard and transmit to new generations traditional skills related to the maritime heritage.
