While driving at night, we witnessed mesmerizing views near Pandoh and crossed Pandoh Dam, where we discussed how the area looked before the water level increased and also talked about a tragic incident from the past when the dam gates were opened. These moments made the night drive more serious and reflective.

One of the biggest reliefs during this journey was not having to pass through Mandi city, as the new tunnel has significantly reduced travel time and traffic congestion. On the way, we stopped at a familiar dhaba in Sundernagar for dinner, a place we often visit during highway journeys, making it a nostalgic stop.

During the drive, we witnessed a shocking moment when a truck overtook vehicles at nearly 100 km/h, leaving us surprised to see such speed on a mountain highway. Later, after entering Punjab, we noticed a major difference in road conditions and discussed how better infrastructure can make long journeys safer and smoother.
