'Pen remains sharp': Al Mayadeen's Mohammad Faraj arrives in Beirut

Despite the detention, he emphasized that his words, ideas, and pen remain "as sharp as the edge of a sword."

Approximately 2,000 people marched through the streets of New York City on Saturday to protest the US attack on Venezuela, according to a statement by the ANSWER Coalition, an anti-war advocacy group. The demonstration was one of over 100 held nationwide, which showed explicit support for Maduro and Venezuela.

“Across the country, over 100 cities held demonstrations today on less than 12 hours notice,” the coalition said. “This is the clearest possible signal that the American people are against any new war, and that should Trump escalate the conflict against Venezuela, this movement will go from the thousands to the millions.”
