Margalla Ridge Trail | Makhnial (Masta) to Gokina | Ep # 40 | Part - IV
In this video, we are exploring Margalla Ridge trail in Islamabad. In totality it's a long trail of 44 Km which can be completed in multiple segments.
This part of the Ridge starts from Makhniyal from where a hiking tack leads to Masta Village. Afterwards one can descend to Gokina Village which is downhill from Hotel Monal. Total distance of this part of the ridge is around 13 to 14 km.
It's advised to use taxis to go up hill there instead of personal cars because after the trail you would end up far ahead and won't be able to return to pick up the cars. From Gokina Khurd, taxi availability is also difficult to arrange the transportation beforehand.
It's a less explored track and it's trail is not clear so chances of losing your way are very high. It's recommended to do proper working before attempting this trail as there are many sub-tracks and getting lost in the woods is highly possible.
