How to use the undo/ redo function on the BOSS RC-500 to gain an extra track!

Описание: Here's a video explaining how I use the undo/ redo function of the BOSS RC-500 loop station to act like a third track so i can bring in and out elements during a live performance.

For me one of the key factors of using a loop pedal in a live setting is to get to the 'meat and potatoes' of a song as quickly as possible. Whereas it can be interesting to see the process of building the layers of a song for the audience, I've seen many loop artists take a long time to loop all the elements of the track and thus lose the attention of the audience. (I've been guilty of this too!)

For that reason I normally will do one bar of beatboxing, and in the case of the RC-500 where you can have loops of varying lengths, any multiple of that to put down the bass line on the second track. (2x track 1 in this example). Then I will add other elements such as a riff and percussion in one take which I can then add or take away using the undo/ redo function, normally to add dynamics and energy to a chorus section.
