Hey darlings, welcome to my first impressions of South of Midnight! Our protagonist Hazel, lives in the fictionalized deep south in a town called Prospero. After a hurricane washes away her home with her mother inside, Hazel discovers that she is a Weaver. Sired with the responsibility of healing pain and trauma long since past, she is thrown into a new journey of self discovery. Set against the backdrop of a southern gothic landscape, Hazel must make her way through mythical creatures and rich folklore in order to find her mother.
