This is a digitized version taken from a 7" long play record. This is one of several records produced by Jim Powe (dec). This recording was the occasion of the first run through from Melbourne to Sydney of the famous "Spirit of Progress".
The recording cover the Albury to Sydney section which was the only time this train was run with steam 3830 and 3813.
I have a few other disc produced by Jim Powe, which I would be happy to upload - these discs were produced some 50 years ago, many people do not have access to record playing equipment - please let me know your thoughts
