State Finally Takes Jury Inside Horner's FedEx Van on Day of Athena's Murder | Pt 33 | Horner Trial

Texas Ranger David Espinoza took the stand today for the fourth time in this trial. He's the one who took Horner into custody in the pasture. He's the one who drove him to the river and watched Athena's body come out of the water. And today the state called him back one last time for one reason: to walk the jury through the FedEx van.

The state didn't argue. They didn't give a closing speech dressed up as testimony. They put the van on the screen and let you see five days of footage, and let you hear what was recorded on audio when the cabin camera was not. Watch the phone call Horner makes to his dispatcher on his way back to the station that night. Then watch what the defense did when the state passed the witness.

At one point during this testimony, the prosecution played audio from the covered-camera window on November 30. The public broadcast went dark. That was correct. The jury has to carry what was played. The rest of us do not. What you can see in this video is everything else, and it is a lot.

54:00 to 1:06:00 - Horner is at Love's. The camera is back on. He calls the FedEx dispatcher. He tells him about a gas station hamburger. He says something you will hear again at closing.

1:06:00 to 1:13:48 - The state passes. Defense declines to cross. The state rests. Court recesses to Wednesday. Listen to what gets said in the silence.
