1 Timothy 4:7-8 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
2 Timothy 1:7 “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.”
1. STAY FOCUSED- GOD WILL ESTABLISH YOU IN OTHER AREAS.
-Your build is the sum of your daily habits.
Did you know if you Collect one bad apple every day and by the end of the day, you will find yourself with a store full of bad apples.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
• You want a stable family, seek the kingdom first.
• You want a stable financial life, seek the kingdom first.
• How much of church do you think about?
• Are you cold or hot?
• How much of your time is spent on church matters?
2. ESTABLISH A DESCIPLINE / HABIT OF PRAYER/HABITS IN EXRCISE / EATING HEALTHY / FASTING /GIVING /.
Not just as a family but as an individual even in privacy.
JESUS WENT TO PRAY IN PRIVATE OFTEN.
Luke 22:39-71 Jesus Prays on the Mount of Olives; 39 And he came out and went, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him.
Luke 21:37 Each day Jesus was teaching at the temple, and each evening he went out to spend the night on the hill called the Mount of Olives.
JOB SACRIFICED OFTEN:
Job 1 In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. 2 He had seven sons and three daughters, 3 and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East. 4 His sons used to hold feasts in their homes on their birthdays, and they would invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. 5 When a period of feasting had run its course, Job would make arrangements for them to be purified. Early in the morning, he would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular custom.
ABRAHAM BUILT ALTARS AND SACRIFICED OFTEN:
Gen 13:4 and where he first built an altar. There Abram called on the name of the LORD. Genesis 22:9-Abraham builds another Altar to sacrifice the son.
1.GOOD HABITS DRAW THE ATTENTION OF GOD.
Acts 101-6 At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment. 2 He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. 3 One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, “Cornelius!” 4 Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God. 5 Now send men to Joppa to bring back a man named Simon who is called Peter. 6 He is staying with Simon the tanner, whose house is by the sea.”
DANIEL PRAYED ALWAYS.
2.GOOD HABITS BRING VICTORY.
Daniel always prayed to God three times every day. Three times every day, he bowed down on his knees to pray and praise God.
Even though Daniel heard about the new law, he still went to his house to pray.
Greetings: 26:28 So Daniel was successful during the time Darius was king and when Cyrus the Persian was king.
Four kings
• Daniel served under four kings:
• Nebuchadnezzar,
• Belshazzar,
•Darius, and Cyrus.
3. DISCIPLINE PRODUCES RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Hebrews 12:11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
4. BRING UP YOUR CHILDREN IN THE DESCIPLINE OF THE LORD.
Ephesians 6:4 - Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
• Teach them through examples.
• Have habits that will continue after they grow.
• Speak your heart-don’t just assume that they know your stand.
• Do not misunderstand love, and comfort.
5. CHURCH MEMBER HABITS 2026
PRAY & PREACH.
1. Pray as an individual.
2. Pray with your family.
3. Study the Word of God.
4. Attend church /Serve in church.
5. Be a giver.
6. Visit others and build bonds.
7. Take care of your physical health.
Proverbs 16:3: "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans
