Release in 2014. Bosch BNO055 is the first IMU sensor that uses absolute orientation. The Y-axis always points at the magnetic north pole (though there are lots of errors), X-axis points at East, Z-axis points up. It embraced great popularity since its commercial release till now. In this special short video, Dr. Niu tested this sensor using Arduino UNO R4 WiFi for simpler demonstration, related source code can be easily implemented to Raspberry Pi and ESP32 MCUs.
