India & Japan have agreed to their first defense co-development initiative—the UNICORN naval

Both countries will develop UNICORN (UNICORN).

Japan will provide the design and core technology for it.

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) will co-develop and manufacture this system for the Indian Navy.
