Carving ASMR using hand tools only.
Hello, Thanks for watching. In this video, I carved a cooking spoon using only hand tools. I used an axe for rough shaping then a sloyd knife and a hook knife for refining the spoon. I really like how this spoon turned out especially the wood grain.
Carving using only hand tools is a slow process. It's meditative and relaxing to me. I like it that way. I did have to learn techniques to be able to safely carve using sharp tools.
I make spoons to give out to family and friends. I like this one so much I might keep it.
