The Sagano Romantic Train in Arashiyama Kyoto is easily one of the most beautiful things to in Arashiyama. I can't believe that so many hoards of people go to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest / Bamboo Grove, but either don't visit the Sagano Romantic Train, or they take the round-trip journey, and full miss out on the other side of the river. This video explores one of the best Kyoto day trips you can take. Kyoto to Arashiyama is just a one hour ride on the train, and before you ever follow the signs to the Arashiyama Kyoto Bamboo Grove, you can enter the train station next door and get on the Sagano train. BEYOND worth it.
