🧠 1. Surgery isn’t always a “quick fix.”
Spine surgery can relieve pressure, correct deformities, and stabilize movement but it doesn’t erase every symptom overnight.
Pain relief takes time because your nerves and muscles need to adapt after years of stress or compression.
The success often depends as much on rehab and consistency as on the procedure itself.
⚙️ 2. Imaging doesn’t always match the pain.
An MRI might show disc degeneration or herniation, but that doesn’t always mean it’s the source of your pain.
That’s why surgeons rely on clinical judgment, nerve studies, and physical exams, not just scans.
Surgery works best when your symptoms and imaging align.
💪 3. Recovery doesn’t end in the OR.
Rehab isn’t optional, it’s the second half of the operation.
Physical therapy retrains your muscles and protects your spine long-term.
Without it, even a perfect surgery can lead to stiffness or recurring pain.
