Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at our Thomas Payne RV Jackknife Sofa with the included kickboard. This is gonna fold down to a 62-inch wide sleeping surface for you and your guest. And it's what the manufacturer is calling a Dellmead color. Now, it's very simple to lay this down into a sleeping unit. Simply lift up the armrest if it's not already up.

And then from the front, you would come pick this up. Keep in mind, this would be bolted down to either a box of some sort that you should already have in place in your camper, RV, motor home, so it's gonna be easier to lay down than what I just did. But it was still pretty easy. And then coming from the top down, you get a little better image of that fabric. You can see it's got a little give to it.

None of these really have any like space in between 'em except for right here where it folds. But this is a nice rough kinda fabric, if you will, and it's not smooth or anything like that. It's got a lotta different colors mixed in there. I would call it kind of like a granite kinda color with some different speckled colors mixed in there. And then, as you can see a little closer from the front here, you have a nice, thick cushion.

So again, overall, we're looking at 62 inches wide from the front. And the sleeping surface here as far as the depth is gonna be 42 inches deep front to back. And then, when this is set back up, so you would do the reverse, just lift the back up and put it back up. Bear with me here, 'cause again, I don't have it bolted down or anything. Here we go.

You have 20 inches roughly from the front to where your back's gonna be at. And this has been designed to fit through your standard 26-inch or wider entry door. Now, I mentioned at the beginning, you would normally have a box of some sort that this would sit on. And the neat thing is, you should be able to lift this up when it's bolted in place and then be able to get to storage areas if you need to. This kick plate just hangs on the front, so you'd be able to access things behind there. We do carry an optional universal leg kit for the Thomas Payne RV Jackknife Sofas, and you can purchase that separately if you don't have a box already kinda built. And that would at least give you a left and right leg, again, universal, doesn't matter which side you put 'em on. And that would give you an option as well. Again folks, nice padded option, 62 inches across the front overall. And again, you do have the built-in center console with cup holders, one, two. And again, this fits through entryway doors that are 26 inches or larger.
