This video complements another one which depicts Sao Roque WWTP ( • Sao Roque Wastewater Treatment Plant ). Sao Roque WWTP was designed with a combination of anaerobic and aerobic processes with UASB reactors followed by activated sludge operated as an extended aeration. The design flow rate of Sao Roque WWTP is 160 L/s and 255 L/s (maximum flow rate).
This video shows the secondary settling tanks, contact tank and the final effluent. Sao Roque WWTP has two secondary settling tanks with 24 meters of diameter and the final effluent is conducted to a Parshall flume for flow measurement and chlorine application for disinfection.
