But what many don’t know is that this revolutionary experience was crafted by a group, new to creating games, a small Finnish studio, Remedy Entertainment. Born out of Finland’s underground digital art subculture known as the demoscene. Remedy thrived on experimentation and collaboration, it’s members improvising solutions and learning as they went. When it came to Max Payne, the small team had to rely on these skills, tackling everything from coding to animation, pushing their creativity to the limit to redefine the action genre and leave a mark on gaming history.
