Let my prayer arise in Thy sight as incense
لتستقم صلاتي كالبخور
Κατευθυνθήτω η προσευχή μου
يا رب إليكَ صرختُ فاستمع لي استمع لي يا رب
يا رب إليكَ صرختُ فاستمع لي أصغِ إلى صوتِ تضرعي
حين أصرخ إليكَ استمع لي يا رب
لتستقِم صلاتي كالبخور أمامك وارتفاعُ يديَّ ذبيحةً مسائيّةً
استمع لي يا رب
اجعل يا رب حارساً لفمي وباباً حصيناً على شفتيّ
لا تُمِلْ قلبي إلى كلام الشر ليتعلل بعلل الخطايا
مع الناس العاملين الإثم ولا أتّفق مع مختاريهم
ليؤدبني الصّدّيق برحمةٍ ويوَبِّخني
أما زيتُ الخاطئ فلا يُدهن به رأسي
لأن صلاتي أيضاً في مسرّتهم
قد ابتُلعت قضاتهم ماتصقين بصخرة
يسمعون أقوالي فإنها قد استُلذّت
مثل سمن الأرض المنشق على الأرض
تبددت عظامهم حول الجحيم
لأنو يا رب يا رب إليكَ عينيَّ
وعليكَ توكَّلتُ فلا تنزع نفسي
احفظني من الفخ الذي نصبوه لي
ومن معاثر فاعلي الإثم
تسقط الخطأة في مصايدهم
وأكون أنا على انفرادٍ إلى أن أعبر
