This walk takes place in Omiya, starting from the busy station area and gradually moving away from the city’s pace. The route follows Hikawa Sandō, the longest shrine approach in Japan—a straight, tree-lined path that quietly separates everyday life from sacred space.

As the walk progresses along the avenue, the atmosphere becomes calmer and more focused. The rhythm slows naturally, guided by the long stretch of greenery leading toward Omiya Hikawa Shrine, one of the most important Shinto shrines in the region. Rather than feeling ceremonial, the approach feels lived-in, used daily by locals walking, cycling, or simply passing through.

After reaching the shrine area, the walk continues through Omiya Park, where open paths, trees, and seasonal colors create a gentle transition away from the shrine grounds. The final part drifts into nearby residential streets—quiet lanes, modest homes, and ordinary corners that complete the walk without a destination in mind.
