POINTS OF CLARIFICATION: I hope you dig my look in this reaction - I was going for Chocolate Zombie Morticia...I think it works! LOL Also, I did NOT go to "NYU Film School" technically. I took a course at NYU's summer study program in New York the year after 9/11, when funding was made available to get people back into the city. I wanted to study film, but life had other plans.

Firstly, I'd like to say that I appreciate all of the new and current viewers to my little upstart channel! This foray into the world of content creation and YouTube has been a labor of love and fortitude, and as terrifying as it has been to start, your affirmation and encouragement has emboldened me. THANK YOU.

Secondly this film was grossly unsettling for me - and I loved it! The Wicker Man is the ultimate cult film, a precursor to Midsommar. It's almost a musical, with the Corn Rigs song, the Maypole song and Willow's Song. The 1970s is such a vibe - from the cinematography to the score, this film highlights the danger in surrendering oneself completely to a belief system. Lord Summerisle isn't a true believer, but he knows that by bolstering this town's belief in the "old gods" he can achieve his own ends...creepy, and thought-provoking. I'm glad this film is finding a more modern audience - it deserves to be seen and shared. I hope you enjoy my reaction - getting the songs in wasn't entirely possible, but I tried (they're just too good!)
