This is a 3 part series about how an Engineer goes about designing (brewing) his decks for Magic the Gathering.
I'm creating this series based on request of my subscribers as they wanted to see if I had a process and some best known methods and I do in fact. There's several general questions I almost always ask myself as I first build a deck. This process comes after 23 years of playing this game and constantly designing my own decks. The process I'm going to share in these 3 videos gets my builds in the ballpark of where they need to be. Stated differently, I can usually get a deck to the point where only active play testing against other decks and seeing the local meta will impact the next changes to my build.
The format this deck is getting built for is called "Old School" format and it's only using cards printed in 1993 and 1994 or later ones with the same artwork and card frame.

Also, I have a "budget" series of Old School decks and I talked about making a "mid range expense" series of Old School decks, well this is also the first mid-range expense Old School format deck. No Power 9, no 1k cards, but having several cards over $100.
