In clipping mask one layer is visible through the opaque area of the other layer, use the content of one layer to mask another layer. The bottom or base layer works as a mask.
How to use?
1. Take a picture layer
2. Add new layer and write and text on it.
3. Move the picture layer on bottom as a base layer and text layer on top.
4. Holding ALT on the keyboard, bring the mouse cursor in between the two layers in the layer palette and click the left button.
5. In the result, the image is visible into the text area.
