1) Expensive now (better to spend your money on actual first aid products to save $$)
2) Made in places with less than high standards (there have been recalls from them falling apart! Kotex 2018 see below)
3) exert ZERO pressure on the walls of any body cavity (otherwise I would not be able to get it out of where it was supposed to be used would I?)
4) Are more of a PLUG than an absorbent (so you won't see the massive blood pooling inside the wound) I won't get into details of what comes out of us after we pull out our tampons, but you would be shocked and surprised.
Soo...Buy appropriate supplies for appropriate uses is a good solid motto. Use a hammer for a nail and a fork to eat with. I'd rather see you use a torn up sheet or t-shirt than a tampon. Always remember to use major direct pressure over the material and for as long as it takes to stop the bleeding.
