Crude as it is, this is an example of our commitment to finding and restoring old home movie footage when we can. Almost nothing was cut out of this in the interest of presenting the events it captured that day as completely as possible. Of course, the film was shot silent and ambient beach sounds have been added.

The Acamporas were a first-generation Italian-American family. One of their daughters married into the Tizio family in 1943. This film was found among the Tizio family's photos and home movies. We don't have any information about where any of the Acampora descendants are today.
