TEDxRedding - Amy Kaherl - Detroit Soup

Описание: Amy Kaherl is the facilitator of Detroit SOUP, a monthly dinner funding micro grants for creative projects in Detroit. Born in the suburbs of the city of Detroit, Amy left the fair city in 1999 to travel, explore, and eventually received her MA in Theology with an emphasis in popular culture from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Amy is now a resident of Detroit and has taken on the charge to help re-imagine and re-envision the city. While not facilitating this monthly dinner, she is a DJ (facilitates a monthly event supporting and promoting women DJs), artist (site specific installations), even planner (helps organize and promote Marche du Naine Rouge and the Detroit City Futbol League), grant manager (school grant for nutrition and mental health supports), and shenaniganizer!

In this TEDxRedding talk, Amy shares some of what she and others in Detroit are learning about creativity, resilience, and new ways of civic life. Lessons learned--from Detroit to Redding.
