This brought up debates regarding which players should be the MVP of the National and American league. However, the National League ended up having two sensational players, Willie Stargell and Keith Hernandez, who made it hard to decide who should become the one and only MVP of the National League. The only problem was that the two players LITERALLY matched their scores, ending up in a tie.
