However, in many cases this method is not sufficient, such as the failed bone grafts for movie critic Roger Ebert, who lost his lower jaw from cancer. UC Davis researchers discuss efforts to develop new methods for repairing bone deformities and non-healing bone fractures using bone marrow derived stem cells.
