There never has been a victory of a British manufacturer in the history of the Nordschleifen Championship.
On Saturday, Aston Martin returned three years after the official racing debut with the Vantage GT3 and immediately won the 53rd ADAC Barbarossapreis.
FIA GT world champion Nicki Thiim from Denmark and the winner of the 2020 Le Mans 24-hour race, Maxime Martin, had a lead of 13.887 seconds over Vincent Kolb and Frank Stippler in the Audi R8 LMS GT3 from Phoenix Racing. Third was the BMW Junior Team with Max Hesse, Dan Harper and Neil Verhagen in the BMW M6 GT3.
