Описание: This chapter, I Chronicles 13 (fourteen verses long), contains one of the most controversial deaths (execution) in the Old Testament. The LORD kills Uzzah, son of Abinadab, for 'reaching out and touching the ark of the covenant' as it is being moved from his family's house in Kiriath-Jearim to Jerusalem. (Note: Kiriath-Jearim is also called Baala, a Canaanite name, and Gibeah, the Hebrew word for 'hill' or 'high place.'). I explain the importance of this chapter in terms of God's sacredness and its translation into the New Covenant.
