How To Get To Busch Gardens Tampa From Orlando
Busch Gardens Tampa is one of central Florida’s must visit tourist attractions home to an amazing combination of zoological animal exhibits and amazing roller coaster rides.
Located 90minutes west of Orlando, there are four options when it comes to making the trip to Busch Gardens when vacationing in the central Florida region.
1. Drive / Rental Car
The route from Orlando to Tampa is a simple 1h 30m drive west on I-4. It can add more cost to a vacation when you don’t necessarily require a rental car to get around the Orlando area however you’ll have the ultimately flexibility with timings so unlike the transit options you can arrive or leave the park whenever uou like.
2. Ride Share / Taxi
A ride share will be a much lower price when compared to a regular taxi. I recommend downloading both the Lyft and Uber apps so you can compare prices and select the best deal. On average this option costs around $100-150 one way form experience, but is subject to surge pricing. The door to door convenience and only your group exclusivity are some of the benefits.
3. Public Transport
It is possible to get to Orlando to Tampa on public transit.
Flix Bus and Greyhound operate services to the Marion Transit Center (Tampa Bus station)
Although the Flix Bus actually stops at an underpass one block form the bus depot.

From the Marion Transit Center, the number 5 service heads to a stop just outside Busch Gardens on McKinley Dr

While this is a lower cost option, the timings of making connection can affect the length of day at the park. The return Flix bus to Orlando does leave late at 22:15 making it possible to stay late.
4. Busch Gardens Shuttle Express
Busch Gardens in partnership with Mears transportation offers any ticket holder, complimentary round trip bus transport to Busch gardens from several stops across the Orlando area including, International Drive and Kissimmee.
Typically this service will arrive after park opening, the website states up to 11:30am. The departure time is set on the day, usually around park closing. However the compromise is that it is a complimentary service.
