Sermon Notes

Introduction
Many get on fire for God → then grow cold.
Some even leave church/ministry altogether.
Tonight → 3 types of people
Never had fire / lost fire → God will ignite you.
Hot → cold cycle → you’ll learn how to sustain.
Already burning → God calls you to go deeper.

What Does It Mean to Be on Fire?
Passion for God & His calling.
Jeremiah 20v9 → “His word burns like fire in my bones.”
People may call you “crazy” → but you can’t contain it.
Acts 2v3 → tongues of fire fell at Pentecost.
Same fire in disciples made them bold even unto death.

God Lights the Fire, You Keep It Burning
Parable of the Talents (Matt. 25) → God entrusts gifts, expects stewardship.
God gives you a flame (Acts 2) → it’s your responsibility to keep it burning.

Illustration A fire left unattended dies. A seed left uncared for withers.

3 Ways to Keep the Fire Burning
1️⃣ Prayer – Communion with God
John 15v4-5 → abide in the vine.
Without His presence, you wither.
Jesus often withdrew to pray.
👉 Prayer is fuel for the fire.

2️⃣ Scripture – Feeding on the Word
Matt. 4v4 → man lives by every Word of God.
Rom. 10v17 → faith comes by hearing the Word.
👉 The Word feeds, guides, and sustains your fire.

3️⃣ Community – Right Relationships
1 Cor. 12v25-27 → we are the body, we need each other.
Demon-possessed man (Mark 5) isolated himself → the devil isolates to destroy.
👉 Surround yourself with burning people, or your flame will fade.

God Wants to Reignite Your Fire
Acts 4v29-31 → disciples prayed → place shook → filled with Spirit → preached with boldness.
👉 Tonight, God wants to give you boldness, fire, and fresh passion.

Closing
Fire is a gift, but also a responsibility.
Prayer, Word, Community keep it burning.
Ask God to reignite your fire tonight.
