आज गुरु नानक जयंती है. इसे प्रकाश गुरुपर्व भी कहा जाता है. श्री गुरु नानक देव जी के प्रकाश पर्व में शामिल होने के लिए भारतीय श्रद्धालुओं का पहला जत्था पाकिस्तान गया. श्रद्धालुओं में सिख और हिंदू दोनों शामिल थे. मगर पाकिस्तान अपनी हरकतों से बाज नहीं आया. उसने धर्म-कर्म के मामले में भी अपनी नीच हरकत दिखाई. पाकिस्तान ने ननकाना साहिब गुरुद्वारा गए सिख श्रद्धालुओं का तो फूलों से स्वागत किया, मगर हिंदू श्रद्धालुओं को सीमा पार करने की इजाजत नहीं दी. सिख श्रद्धालुओं के जत्थे में गए हिंदू श्रद्धालुओं को अपमानित करके पाकिस्तानी अधिकारियों ने वापस लौटा दिया. ऐसे 14 परिवार हैं, जिनके साथ पाकिस्तान ने बदसलूकी की है.

The devotees included both Sikhs and Hindus. But Pakistan did not stop its actions. It showed its despicable behavior even in matters of religion. Pakistan welcomed the Sikh devotees who went to Nankana Sahib Gurudwara with flowers, but did not allow the Hindu devotees to cross the border. The Pakistani authorities humiliated the Hindu devotees who were in the group of Sikh devotees and sent them back. There are 14 such families who have been mistreated by Pakistan.
