This is the second, and final, part of my improvised quilted Christmas stocking project.
In this episode I take the scrappy pieced panels from Part 1 and turn them into finished stockings — shaping the sock, adding layers, quilting, and bringing everything together into a usable, festive object. It’s still very much a making-focused video rather than a step-by-step tutorial, so you’ll see the process unfold rather than hear it over-explained.
The approach stays loose and intuitive right to the end. No strict pattern, no perfect symmetry — just working with what’s on hand, responding to the fabric, and letting the construction guide the final shape. It’s a satisfying finish after all the scrap play, and proof that 'odds and sod's leftover and random pieces really can become something complete.
If you haven’t watched Part 1 yet, that’s where the improv piecing and patchwork play happen — together they show the full journey from scraps to finished stockings.
