This video provides an annotated score of Bach's Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach, specifically designed for piano students. The sheet music featured in this video is taken from the Urtext edition. My ornamentation and phrasing suggestions are indicated in red.
Many editions of Baroque music use repeat signs, leaving it to the performer to vary ornaments in the repeated sections. This score duplicates those sections, offering a variety of ornamentation options for each repeat, making it easier for students to understand and explore Baroque performance practice.
