British supernatural mystery drama, aired as part of the BBC1 anthology series Drama Playhouse, which was intended as a launchpad for potential series. Written by Dalek creator Terry Nation - returning to the BBC nearly 7 years after last writing for Doctor Who - produced by Anthony Coburn, and directed by Cyril Coke, it stars Robert Hardy as the esteemed Doctor Sir Robert Baldick.
Baldick and his team travel aboard his personal train, The Tsar, so named because it was originally named for Tsar Nicholas II, to investigate when a woman is killed in an old holy site which is suspected of being haunted by an ancient evil. It co-stars Julian Holloway, John Rhys-Davies, James Cossins, Reginald Marsh, Barry Andrews, Anna Martine, Paul Humpoletz, Ron Welling, and Dave Mobley.
