Описание: Trepanning is a machining process used to make holes or circular grooves by using one or more cutters and revolving them around a center point. During trepanning, the tool rotates and the workpiece remains stationary. Typical trepanning applications include:
• Drilling holes in metal plates
• O-ring seal grooves
• Circular face grooving on machining centers
ISCAR offers several modular trepanning systems which enable trepanning at any depth or diameter.

ISCAR recently introduced a new modular and adjustable trepanning system for face grooving and trepanning operations on machining centers and lathes. The system operates face grooving with HSK 63 and CAMFIX C6 heads designed for standard HELIFACE and TANGFACE adapters.
The tools perform exceptionally well, while maintaining excellent surface finish and shortening machining times. The operation can also save workpiece material, as the central part of the grooved surface remains intact and can be used for other applications.

This system also performs trepanning operations with the following face grooving adapters: HFPAD, TNFPAD and HFAIR, which have specialized high pressure coolant channels that are pinpointed directly to the insert cutting edge.

ISCAR's new system is now standard and provides unlimited face grooving and trepanning options.
Features of the new system include:
• HSK 63 and CAMFIX C6 heads with adjustable cartridges.
• The serrated surface of the holder enables very rigid clamping of the cartridges.
• Cartridges carrying standard HELI-FACE and TANG-FACE adapters for different diameters and standard HFPR and TNF inserts in widths of 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm, or .118, .157, .197 and .236 of an inch.
• Two cartridges can be mounted on the same head and be precisely adjusted to machine at the same diameter for a more effective machining process, or placed at different radii to achieve a wider groove or two different groove diameters in one operation.
• The tool can also operate with just one cartridge.

MINCUT Trepanning Tools
The MINCUT system is comprised of adjustable cartridges and inserts which are capable of performing trepanning operations from 8 to 21 mm, or .31 to .83 inch diameters with MIFR 8 inserts and from 19 to 34 mm, or .75 to 1.34 inch diameters with MIFR 10 inserts.
Groove widths range from 1.5 mm to 6 mm, or .059 to .236 of an inch at depths of up to 9 mm, or 0.354 of an inch. The IHSR-MIFR cartridges were designed to be mounted on the standard BHR MB 32 rough boring head. They can be used with a single or double-cartridge configuration as a half or full effective option.

In many cases, trepanning operations can replace large diameter drilling operations, with significant reduction in machining power. Typical operations can be found in the aerospace industry, oil and gas, hydraulic valves, large size gate valves, construction beams, and in general engineering components.
